App Event

Purpose: At Grey Matter, we believe in the principle of "Doing is knowing." With the increasing use of GUI (Graphical User Interface) interfaces in the services industry, our App Event encourages participants to come up with innovative ideas to create applications akin to WhatsApp. This event challenges their design thinking abilities.

Skills required: Design thinking abilities of the students were put to the test.

Learning: Participants develop innovative apps tailored to different industry sectors, addressing contemporary needs. They leverage analytical tools to plan, execute, and coordinate these projects, providing real-world learning experiences.

Dare to Change Event:

Purpose: The Dare to Change event aims to challenge students to redesign existing processes into new and improved formats. This challenge can range from revamping a small token system in Lloyd Canteen to reinventing processes within large business conglomerates. The primary goal is to promote "design thinking" and disrupt the status quo.

Skills required: Design thinking, Analytics, Artificial Intelligence (AI).

Learning: The event encourages the application of AI and machine learning to design and automate new systems. Students are pushed to explore the realm of Business Process Reengineering (BPR), where they can reimagine and optimize business processes.
