The HR club- People connect at Lloyd Business School organized a successful event “Tickle your gray cells” for PGDM students on 13th October 2022, under the guidance of Dr. Fehmina Khalique, faculty coordinator.
The primary objective of this event was to provide opportunities for students to practice leadership, and teamwork and develop managerial values through managerial activities namely, Group Discussion and Role Play. The response received for the event was really overwhelming with more than 40 students participating.
There were five teams formed for group discussion comprising 6 members each with topics like Mandatory training for workers, the need for entrepreneurs vs managers, moonlighting should be legalized, work-life balance is a myth, and work from home vs hybrid work. The winner was Team-1 consisting of Shivam Bansal, Harshita Singh, Pratibha, Harshit Agarwal, and Aridaman.
There were 6 participating teams for roleplays and the situations given were, company downsizing, late to work, small talk, partiality in decision-making, job interviews, and performance appraisal. The first prize went to Jai Chakrabourty and Subrajit Nayak.
Students were judged on the basis of communication skills, vocabulary, and grammar for group discussions. For roleplay, parameters were audibility, fluency, body language, a showcase of interpersonal skills, and creativity. The judges for the event were Dr. Imad Ali, Dr. Fehmina Khalique, Dr. Samiksha Budakoti, Mr. Anshul Mathur, and Mr. Nityananda Deva. The team and volunteers along with the winners were appreciated and celebrated for making it a fun and engaging learning experience.
